I had tried making the above with mum for a few times but was not successful, this time i was tempted to try it on my new toy - WMF pressure cooker
Ingredients
Whole chicken
salt
Herb - wai san, dang sim, wolfberry, red dates, lek tek
Method
1. Wash and Marinate the chicken with salt
2. Boil the herbs for about 30 min
3. Pour all the herbs and water into stomach cavity of the chicken and around it
4. Wrap chicken with cellophone plastic before putting it in steamer
5. Put on the cover and cook on 2nd ring for 25 min
Verdict
- its a little bland, need to marinate the chicken and keep the salt till steam
- need to turn the breast down during steaming to ensure even cooking
- does not need to use aluminium foil to wrap the chicken
