I am into cheese cake this week as i had bought up to 1kg of cream cheese!!
This is a very addictive cake that is very simple to make, its like chocolate butter cake with cheese
Recipe from My culinary journal
Ingredients A :
250 g cream cheese
60 g castor sugar
1 egg
Ingredients B :
125 g butter ( original 180 g )
150 g castor sugar
3 eggs
4 tbsp cocoa powder (original is 3 tbsp)
120 g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
Method :
Beat ingredients A until light and fluffy.
From ingredients B, cream butter and sugar. Add in eggs one at a time. Add in remaining ingredients.
Using a 7" square tin, pour in half portion of chocolate batter. Then pour in cream cheese mixture. Pour the remaining portion of chocolate batter to cover the cream cheese portion. (there are a total of 3 layers of batter)
Baked in oven for 180°C for 40 - 45 mins.
Cool well and store cake in the fridge.
